Today on our 2012 Chrysler Town and Country were going to install a curt hitch part #: 13364. Here are a couple of measurements that will assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost point of the bumper is 4 and a quarter inches, from the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 12 inches. This will assist you with selecting accessories. Now lets go ahead with the installation. Before we can install our hitch well first need to lower the vehicle exhaust.
Well remove the rear two most hangers and the easiest way to do this is just to remove the fasteners that hold them to their frame. With our exhaust lowered we need to remove the 6 fasteners on the frame, well have three on each side. Itd be the three rearmost fasteners here on the frame. These will be our six attachment points for our new hitch. Everything we do here on the driver side will be repeated on the passenger side.
Now with all our fasteners removed its a good time to get an extra set of hands to help hold the hitch in place while you install your fasteners. When installing a hitch make sure you put the passenger side, or the exhaust side up first. Youll use this notch here to go around the air conditioning lines. With all of our fasteners in place we can go ahead and tighten them down. Alright, with all of our fasteners tightened down on the driver side we will repeat the same process on the passenger side.
Alright, with all our fasteners tightened down well go ahead torque the specifications as indicated in the instruction. With all our fasteners torqued to specification we can now go ahead and reinstall the exhaust. To reinstall the rearmost exhaust hanger well need to use the hardware provided and the ole on the hitch as the hitch covered up the hole on the frame previously used by the manufacturer. Well drop our bolt through the hitch, push our exhaust up into place and then install the flange nut. And now we can go ahead and install and tighten down both of the exhaust hangers.
And that will complete the install of our curt hitch part #: 13364 on our 2012 Chrysler Town and Country.

The first step is to go ahead and lower the exhaust. Right behind the muffler is a hanger well unbolt and one above the axial that well unbolt as well.

From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 13-1/4 and from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper will be about 6-3/4.
