

Today on this 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe, were going to install part number 75684 from Draw-Tite. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on the vehicle. Next well go ahead and give you some measurements thatll help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pinhole to outside edge of the bumper is going to be 3 inches and from the top of the receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 13 inches. Now well go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed.First off, well show you where the hitch attaches to the vehicle. There are two weld nuts that are located at the bottom of the frame close to the bumper.
Before we install our hitch, well take a few minutes to clean out those threads. Well go ahead and spray down the weld nuts with some lubricant and then clean them out with a tube brush. Well be using part number 814092. Well go ahead and use one of the hitch bolts to make sure the threads are cleaned out. Once we can run the bolt in and out easily then well go ahead install the hitch.Now to install the hitch, well take the bolt and the conical tooth washer, well install it to the hitch and then into the weld nuts in the frame.
You want to make sure that the little teeth on the conical tooth washer are facing towards the hitch. You definitely want to have an extra set of hands to help hold up the hitch while you install it on the frame. Once you have all four fasteners installed in the frame, well go ahead and snug them down and then torque the bolts down as specified in the instructions. With all the bolts torque down, thatll finish it for our install of part number 75684 from Draw-Tite.
