Today on this 2009 Saturn Vue, we're going to install part number 75556 from Draw-Tite. Now, this is what the hitch looks like once installed on the vehicle. Next, we'll give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories such as the ball mount or bicycle, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 14 inches, and from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper is going to be 6-1/4 inches. Now, we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. The first step to install our hitch is to go ahead and lower the exhaust.
Now, there are rubber exhaust hangers we need to lower. That's two in the back and one towards the rear axle. We'll also use a strap to support the exhaust while we do our work. To make it easier to remove the hanger, we'll spray it down with some lubricant first. Then well use a pry tool and a small piece of wood to remove the hangers and then we'll lower the exhaust slowly.
Next, we'll go ahead and point out the attachment points. There are two threaded holes on each side of the frame. Right now, we're looking at the passenger's side. So we'll take a moment to clean them out. Let's spray them down with some lubricant and then run the bolt in and out a few times to clear up threads.
Now, it needs a little more work than that. We can use the tube brush and we can use part number 814092. We'll repeat this on the driver's side too. Now with our threads cleaned out, we can go ahead and install our hitch. It may be a good idea to get an extra set of hands to hold up the hitch while we install the hardware.
Now, with all of our hardware loose and installed, we can go ahead and tighten them down and then torque them down as specified in the instructions. All right, and there you have it for part number 75556 from Draw-Tite on our 2009 Saturn Vue.

Today on this 2004 Saturn Vue we are going to install part number 13591 from Curt. We are looking at the passenger side of the frame. These are two threaded openings that we will use to attach the hitch on the vertical surface of the frame here. This is going to be identical on both sides of the vehicle. We will move to the bumper structure and we will show you the two openings here and here. Our next step is to inspect the threads on the frame of the vehicle itself. What we are going to do is spray it down with some lubricant. In this case we are going to use a tube cleaner about 1/ 2 inch diameter and just use that to clean out the threads with. The tube brush we are using is part number 814092. When you have it good and cleaned out, run your bolt in until you can get it started by hand and probably turn it with a wrench and it should be okay. 00:56
