Installation of a Trailer Hitch on a 2008 Ford F-250

Today on this 2008 Ford F-250, we're going to install part number C14355 from Curt. All right, this is what the hitch looks like once installed on the truck. Next, we'll go ahead and give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be 15 inches. One thing to know about the bumper on this is the aftermarket. Basically, the hitch pin hole is ahead of the bumper by about 1-3/4 inches.

Now, we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. We have two holes at the very end of the frame by the bumper. Both of those will be used by the hardware. Now, the holes going up towards the front of the vehicle, it depends on the vehicle. The hitch will line up with either one of these two sets of holes.

We'll go ahead and install the hardware into the frame. With all our hardware installed, it's a good idea to get an extra set of hands and help look the hitch up in position then we'll install flange nuts on the bottom. Once we get them all installed, we'll tighten down the bolts then torque them down as specified in the instructions. With just those few steps, our hitch is already installed. All right, and with that, that will finish it for our install of part number C14355 from Curt on our 2008 Ford F-250..
