Today in our 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be installing the Curt hitch part number 13251. Before we begin the install, we've already gone ahead and lowered and removed the spare tire for easier access and installation. Now we have a total of six push pin fasteners that we'll need to remove. There's four along the lower bumper inaudible and two up directly behind the bumper. All right, with all six fasteners remove we can now go ahead and take our bolt and conical tooth washer with the teeth of the washer facing the hitch inside our hitch into position. As you can see, the hitch has weld nuts built into it so that as we feed the bolt through the hitch, through the bumper, then go back to the hitch where it will secure into the weld nut.
We've got a total of four fasteners to install. Once we have all four fasteners installed in finger tight, we'll go ahead and run them down. Now we've got all four fasteners tightened down, we'll go back and torque the specifications as indicated in the instructions. Now with our hitch installed and secure we will go ahead and reinstall all six pushpin fasteners and with that complete, we'll go ahead and reinstall the spare the spare tire and this will complete the installation of our Curt Hitch part number 13251 on our 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
