Alright now that we got the fasteners finger tight on the driver side I repeat the same process on the passenger side now that with all the four frame fasteners in place were just going to tighten them up. Next using our hitch as a template were going to go ahead and drill out two holes on each side here at the face of the hitch to drill out our holes well be using a smaller bit or a pile of bit and then drill it out to the final side of three ace our fasteners for this wholes will be a three ace bolt flat washer lock washer and nut. take our bolt and flat washer and fit it from the outside to the inside and on the inside well install our lock washer and then our nut.

Today on this 2004 Buick Rendezvous we will be installing Draw-Tite hitch part number 36425. This installation will also apply for Hidden Hitch part number 90158. We are underneath the vehicle near the bumper, we are looking at the driver side frame rail. As you can see we have two large oblong holes at the end of the frame rail and we are going to be using both of those as attaching points for our trailer hitch. We will be placing carriage bolts and blocks up inside the frame and pulling it back down into position for both of those locations. That is going to be the same on the passenger side as well. If you notice further rearward we have this lip that is attaching the body to the bumper. We are going to be drilling four holes, two per side, to attach the trailer hitch to as well. What we want to do first is put the hardware into the frame, get the hitch up into position, and we will use the hitch as a template to drill those holes out. 00:47

The first thing we need to do is lower the spare tire so we have a little extra working room. What we need to do next is install the bolts in the frame. The hitch uses this hole here and this hole thats taped up. Sometimes both holes are taped up, its no big deal, its just a matter of slicing a hole in them and installing the bolts. Make sure this wire gets pushed out of the way because there is a plate on the hitch that will cover up most of the area and you do not want to pinch this. Well do the same thing for the other side. Next we need to install the bolts which means threading the wire lead onto the bolt, and then the plate and putting the hole assembly through the hole, and pulling it back through.
