

Alright, today on this 2002 Toyota Tundra, well going to install part number 87588 from Hidden Hitch. This is what the hitch looks like once its installed on the truck. Next well go ahead and give you some measurements thatll help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin opening to the edge of the bumper is going to be 4 inches and from the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be 20 inches. Now well go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed.First thing we need to do is go ahead and locate the threaded holes that are in the frame. Well spray them down with lubricants first.
Well be using two brush cleaners to clean up the threads part number 814092. Now the older the vehicle is the hardest it will be to clean out. Well use a brush and lubricant and then test fit with one of the hitch bolts. If that doesnt work, then you may need to use as a tap to help clean up the threads. Alright, after every threads cleaned out, we can go ahead and lift the hitch up in position.
Now well go ahead and get an extra set of hands and hold the hitch to install the hardware. Well install our threaded bolts with the conical tooth washers on our threaded holes to hold the hitch up and then well go ahead and move to the very back of the vehicle and install another set of hardware. Youll have the block and the carriage bolt and put that on top of the frame down to the hitch then install a flange nut on to the bottom. Now with all our hardware installed, we can go ahead and tighten down all the bolts and then torque the bolts down as specified in the instructions. Today in our 2001 Toyota Tundra, we'll be installing the Draw Tite hitch part number 75105. This is what our hitch will look like once it's installed. Next we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch such as a draw bar, a bike rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper it's 4-1/4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground, it's 19 inches. Now let's go ahead with installation.
