Speaker 1: Today on our 2000 Lexus RX 300, well be installing Hidden Henge part number, 70777. Now, before we start our installation, here are a few measurements to help you with selecting accessories. From the center of the hinge pinhole to the outer most part of the bumper is 3 inches. And from the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 15 5/8 inches. Now, to begin our installation we'll remove the two tight on brackets on the bottom of the frame at the back of the vehicle. There's one on each side.
Well also need to remove the two small rubber caps that cover the well nuts in the frame. There are one of those on each side of the vehicle. Now, you set the brackets and the hardware aside, as we will not be reintalling them. Now, well go ahead and locate our mounting points. Well be using the two tow hook bolt holds, as well as the well nut that was covered by the small rubber cap. We're now ready to raise our hitch assembly into position.
Itd be a good idea to get an extra set of hands to help you hold the hitch in place while you start the hardware. Well be using the ten millimeter by 40 hexbolt, the ten millimeter glock washer and the 3/8 inch flat washer. Quick tech tip; when installing the hitch you may need to pull down on the tailpipe and the hitch goes over the top of the tailpipe. You also need to make sure you mover over the exhause sheild by starting with the hitch further over on the passenger side and moving in towards the driver side. With the hitch in place, we can go ahead and install our fasteners. And now that our fasteners are all installed, we can go ahead and tighten them down and torch then to specification as indicated in the instructions.
