Today, on our 2011 Dodge Journey, were going to test fit the Tow Ready 4 Bike Hitch Mounted Bike Rack, part number 63124.With our vehicle equipped with the 2-inch hitch and our bike rack already pre-assembled, we ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well begin by inserting the shank into the hitch. Well line up the hitch pinhole and insert our anti-rattle bolt. Well get that tightened down hand tight. Well then go ahead and tighten it down using our wrench. With our anti-rattle bolt tight, well go ahead and insert our safety pin.Now that our bike rack secured to the vehicle, well go ahead and give you a couple of measurement.
From the bottom of the bike rack to the floor is 11 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 7 inches.Now what were going to do is show cargo access. Well fold the bike rack back and open the cargo door. As you can see, we can gain full access to the cargo area.Now our bike rack is ready for a bike. First, well need to loosen the straps around the cradles. With our straps out of the way, we can go ahead and set our bike into the cradle.

Now with the included adapter already installed on our shank well go ahead and slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. Now that the bolt is tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. At this point we can go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the bike rack is 12 inches, and with the platform up from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is five and a quarter inches. Well now go ahead and unfold the bike rack platform and open our cargo door.

Today on our 2013 Dodge Journey well be test fitting the Thule Apex Swing four bike carrier, part number TH9027. To begin our test fit, using the included two inch adapter, well slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and allow the integrated locking hitch pin to fall into place. We can then move to the anti-rattle knob where well tighten it down, securing the bike rack to the vehicle. At this point we can go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the bike rack is 12 inches, and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle here at the anti-rattle knob is four inches. Well now go ahead and pull the hitch switch here at the top of the mast to bring out the dual arms, where we can then undo the straps to expose our cradles.

Were going to begin our test fit well simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install our anti-rattle bolt.
