All right today on this 2010 Ford Flex, we're going to do a test fit of part number 63124. This is a tow ready 4 hitch. Okay one quick note about this bicycle rack that will fit 2-inch receivers only. Okay to get started, we'll go ahead and install our bicycle rack into our hitch and we'll tighten down the anti-rattle bolt and put the safety clip on the other side. Next we'll give you some measurements that give you an idea of clearance between the bicycle rack and the bumper and the ground. Bumper clearance is 4 and 3/4 inches and the ground clearance will be 11 and 1/2 inches.
Next thing we do is to check for access to the back of the vehicle. All we have to do is tilt the bicycle rack out of the way and then we can open up the rear hatch. That looks good but you do not want to tilt the bicycle rack with the bikes in place. At this point we can go ahead and load up a bike. To load up a bike, we'll remove the straps and the cradles that we're going to use, put the bike in place and bounce it out and run the straps back over the cradles and then over across the top tube of the bike.
Okay, that's all it takes to load up our bike. And with that, that will finish it for our test fit of part number 63124 from Tow Ready on our 2010 Ford Flex.
