Today on this 2011 Nissan Titan we will be installing the Deuce Tunnel Cover from TruXedo, part number tx797101. Alright now this vehicle does have a built in utility track system, so we have to remove the tie down points in the rails, and also the end cap as well. Now our clamps only install like this, but since we have to have access we take the one half of the back, turn it side ways, and install it in the track with the hole on the up side. We want two of these on both ends of the track. There is a seam here, if the track doesnt line up, you could place the other two clamps up near the cab here. Next we will take the other halves of our clamps and loosely install them, then we will take one of our side rails and set it between the track and the clamp.
Push up against the tailgate a little and tighten down the clamp. Alright once we have the rail sitting where we want then go ahead and snug it down a bit. Take the second section of the rail that is labeled drivers side, theres one for passengers side, and we will install that into the clamps. Okay make sure this channel right here is facing towards the inside like this, it will be sitting on the clamps like this. Now we will go over to the passengers side and complete the same process.
This is our cross center right here, and this is the latch for the top half of the tunnel cover. We attach these two brackets. The top of it screws into the rack, and then flip the bar around and do it one more time. Then we will take one of those square headed bolts and slide it into the track here, and our cross center will attach to that. Now Im going to install a lock washer and a lock nut, do the same thing on the other side, and then your two bottom bolts we snugged them down earlier, we didnt tighten them down so that we can adjust them as we need to.
Take the cross cover, in line with the front rail in this case the track as close to the truck without touching, and then we will go ahead and snug down the bolts Now we will install our top cover by setting it on the rails and fold the front half of the rails over, and attach it to the bolts like this, and then make sure this release lever right here isnt installed on the drivers side. We will install two flat washers and a nut and leave them loose for now. We will take the front half and swing it up and over. Alright we will take the tunnel cover and pull it towards the back of the truck, and then tighten down these two nuts. We will align this pin right here for latch, and press it to make it latch, and then go ahead and tighten it down.
Next we need to add steel wool to this front bolt kit right here. Lay it on top and measure it to length, mark it, and cut it. Clean off the top of the bulkhead with some rubbing alcohol, and then attach it to the bulk head. Alright with our steel wool in place we can put the tunnel cover back down in place and roll it out, and basically we are finished. Alright we have the tunnel cover in place we will show you how it operates. The lever right here unlocks it, you want to put a little downward pressure on it inaudible 03:47 and then just roll it up, and you have full access to the back of your truck. There is also two straps that help keep it rolled up when you need it that way. Alright we will go ahead and roll back our tunnel cover and show you how it latches down in place. Make sure you take this edge right here to this latch right here. Add pressure and push down. Now we will go ahead and close the front have of the tunnel cover. Take the front latch and push on the other side of the truck and it pops up. And there you have it for part number tx797101.
