Today on our 2003 GMC Yukon XL, were going to install the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System, part number TGMRG25C.Weve gone ahead and raised the vehicle, and taken the weight off the suspension. Now were ready to go ahead and remove the old bump stop from the vehicle. To get the old bump stop out, youll need a twist and pull, you may even need to take a screwdriver and get underneath of it to pry it out off this position. With the old bump stop out, Im going to take a little spray lubricant and spray it around the upper attachment point just to try to make it a little easier to get our new bump stop in place. Once we get it started, well go ahead and start letting from the weight back on to the suspension forcing the new bump stop into position. Once you get the new bump stop, square it into the hole and may be necessary to take a block of wood and put underneath between the seat and the new bump stop and then lower the suspension back down on to the block of wood and the new bump stop.
This will seat the bump stop all the way into the cup.Now that we fully seated our bump stop into place, well go ahead and repeat the same process on the passenger side. All right, with both sides installed that will complete the installation of our Timbren Suspension Enhancement System, part number TGMRG25C on our 2003 GMC Yukon XL.
