Installation of Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System on a 2005 Ford F-250

Today on this 2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty we are going to install Timbren rear suspension part number TFR250SDF. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and raise the truck in the air so we can lower our suspension. Now you do not have to remove the rear wheels but we are doing it just to make things a little bit easier to see. And what this product does is actually replaces the factory bump stop which is located right here. So our first step involved is to go ahead and unbolt it from the truck and remove it. Now there is a nut on top that we have to remove. Then we can lower it. 0:31

Ok, we will go ahead and show you the components that are being used on just one side of the vehicle. We have the actual rubber spring itself right here. We have a spacer. And this is the bracket that gets installed to the bottom of the frame of the truck itself. So they will go in this order: spring, spacer and the bracket. You will have hardware that will go through the spring and the spacer and then into here. And also, there are two additional holes here. So, you can adjust it left and right to center it with the stop that is located on the axle itself. Now this spacer block is optional. Basically, what you would end up with is about a 1/2 inch or less space between the stop on the bottom of the axle and the bottom of the spring. In this case we are pretty darn close so we need to work without the spacer. We are going to assemble it on the truck just like this and we did offset it to one side. We will go ahead and next bolt this to the bottom of the frame. We will use this short bolt, lock washer and a flat washer. And it will be assembled like that, with the frame in between. 1:36

Drop the bolt through and set on the bracket. Now there is a flat washer that is already trapped inside the spring. So, all we need to add on the inside is the bolt itself and lock washer. Hold it kind of level to get everything lined up so you can run it through the washer. On this particular application, we are going to use this hole right here. And we are going to install a lock nut that is going to sit on top of the plate right here. And with a couple of bolts our suspension enhancement system is installed. Alright, with that that will finish it for our install of part number TFR250SDF from Timbren.

Air Lift LoadLifter Air Helper Springs Installation - 2004 Ford F-250

Today on our 2004 Ford F250 we'll be installing the Air Lift Load Lifter 5000 air helper springs, part number AL573090. Now today our F250 has a 6 inch lift on it, but the Load Lifter 5000 will still bolt into place, now again because our vehicle has a suspension lift on it we dont need to expand the suspension on the truck, but it is a good idea to go ahead and do that to give you enough clearance to get your air spring in. now today we'll be installing the passenger side. The drivers side installs the exact same way with a few minor additions. On the drivers side you'll want to make sure that you keep the wiring harness out of the way of the air spring and the hardware. Also the kit comes with an emergency brake cable clamp that you'll bolt into place to hold the emergency brake out of the spring.

Next well remove the nylon lock nut and nylon bushing from the shackle bolt on the Super Spring. Now with the shackle bolts removed, well sit that aside and move to the manufacturers lead spring pack.

Today, on this 2008 Ford F-350 were going to install part number sss-1. This is SuperSprings SuperSway-Stops, an anti-sway system for air spring suspension. The intent of this part is that it reduces body roll and decreases the sway by replacing the factory bump stops with the SuperSway-Stops. This is very easy to install. Basically, all we have to do is remove the factory bump stops. Of course, in this case we just sprayed them down with some lubricant.
