Today on this 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, were going to do a test fit on part number TH9029 from Thule, the Vertex 4 Bike Carrier. One note about this bicycle rack is that it will work for an inch and a quarter receiver hitches, both class one and class two, however the class one receiver hitch youre only limited to two bikes, and well work with a class two receiver hitch with the included spacer, okay. Were going to start off with test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch, and we will install the anti-rattle bolt. Put the bike rack in its storage position, well go ahead and get some measurements. As closest point of contact to the bumper, were looking at two to quarter inches. Ground clearance will be ten and inches.
Well go ahead and tilt the bike rack back using the hitch switch and well check for access to the back of the vehicle. Okay, lets go ahead and unfold the bike rack using the switch on the top. Okay, I just want to go ahead and load up a bike. First off well make sure the straps our away for the cradles were going to use and also that the anti-sway part of cradles are tilted towards the center, or you can remove them if you like. Okay, well load up a bike will bounce out in the cradles, then reattach the anti-sway part of the cradle if we need to or if its already attached, just go ahead and swing it down to the seat tube, and well strap it in place.
And then we go ahead run the straps over the top tube. And with that thatll finish it for our test fit for the part number TH9029 from Thule, the Vertex 4 Bike Carrier on our 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe.
