Today our 2012 Chevrolet Malibu were going to do a test fit of Thule roof-rack system. We will be using the Thule traverse foot pack part number TH480. The first thing to do is go ahead and assemble the roof rack according to instructions and go ahead and place along the roof of the car. So well go ahead and open the car doors and place the first cross bar in place. Okay, what well do is go ahead and place on the roof and then we measure out to find the correct position. We are going to measure from the edge of the windshield to the leading edge of a foot pack.
That was go by instructions in this case the dimension we are going to use is nine inches. Well move on to the second cross bar well going to do the same thing for the second cross bar but well measure from the center of the first cross bar to the second one for proper placement. In this case set measurement will be 26 1/2 inches. We got the cross bar in the correct spot. All we have to do is go ahead and tighten down to roof line.
Make sure the fit kit is properly around in the edge of the roof and then we can use the included torque tool to tighten down the rack to the roof. When you finished tighten it down the torque tools inside the foot pack. Okay with that the roof racks are attached to the car. All right with that inaudible for a test fit of a Thule roof-rack system our 2012 Chevrolet Malibu.
