Today on this 2010 Hyundai Elantra were going to do a test fit of a Thule roof rack system. Well be using the Thule rapid traverse foot pack and a Thule aeroblade crossbars. I already have our crossbars already assembled according to the instructions. Well just go ahead and continue with our test fit onto the vehicles roof.Well start off by opening the car doors and well go ahead and install the first crossbar. Well go ahead and sit it on the roof for now, and then well go ahead and put it into its final position. Well go ahead and measure out from the edge of the front windshield to the leading edge of first crossbar.
Always go by the instructions, but in this case well be using nine inches. Take a moment and make sure the crossbar is centered left to right. Then well go ahead and move onto the back crossbar and well measure that one off our first one. That measurement will be 26 inches. When we measure were going to measure from center to center. Same thing as before well go ahead and make sure the crossbars are even, then well go ahead and tighten them down.Towers do come with the tools to tighten the footpack down to the roofline.
Just make sure to fit the kit part and secure it to the roof of the vehicle, and then we tighten it down. The roof rack is fully installed. The last thing to do well give you a measurement from the leading edge of the footpack to the top of the bar to give you an idea of the added height. In this case, it will add about 5 inches. That will finish it for our test fit of the Thule roof rack system with rapid traverse footpack and the Thule aeroblades on our 2010 Hyundai Elantra. .
