Today on our 2007 Hyundai Sonata well be test fitting the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System using the Aeroblades. This is part numbers THARB53, TH4ADR, and THKIT1388. To begin our test fit weve already preassemble our crossbars so were ready to fit them to the vehicle. Well start by placing the front crossbar on top of our roof. Now to place the front crossbar in the correct location well need to do a measurement. Thule states that the front edge of the foot for the front crossbar should be 9 inches from the windshield.
So well go ahead and make our measurement and place the front the edge of the front crossbars foot at 9 inches. Well do this on both sides of the vehicle. With the crossbar in their correct location well use the included Aki Torque Tool within each foot to tighten down the clamp securing our front crossbar to the vehicle. With our front crossbar secured were now ready to move on to the rear crossbar. Again, well place the crossbar on top of the roof.
Well next need to do another measurement in order to get the correct location for the rear crossbar. This time well measure from the center of the front crossbar, 26-3/8 inches back. This will be the location of the center of our rear crossbar. Well also do this on both sides of the vehicle. This will ensure that our crossbars are parallel with each other to make it easier to load our accessories.
Now with the rear crossbar in place well go ahead and repeat the same torque procedure torquing down each foot with our Aki Torque Tool. And with the rear crossbar tight our roof rack is secured to the vehicle and were ready to load our accessories. And that completes our test fit of the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System using part numbers THARB53, TH4ADR, and THKIT1388 on our 2007 Hyundai Sonata.
