Installation of a Thule Traverse Roof Rack on a 2012 Honda Fit

Today on our 2012 Honda Fit were going to be test fitting the Thule Roof Rack System well be using the Thule 50-inch Square Load Bars part number THLB50, the Thule Traverse Foot Pack part number TH480 and the fit kit designated for this vehicle, part number THKIT1465. Weve already got our roof rack assembled according to the instructions and now were ready to fit it up on the vehicle. The first thing we need to do is open the front doors on the passenger and drivers side. Well take the front bar assembly and set it up on top of our roof. To position it correctly well need to measure 12-1/4 inches from the edge of the windshield to the leading edge of the traverse foot on both the passenger and drivers side. Once the front bar is in position we can go ahead and use the included Accu Tight tools to tighten the system down and secure it to the roof.

Then well move on to the rear bar. To position the rear bar we need to measure 29-1/4 inches from the center of the front bar to the center of the rear bar. This measurement is also known as the crossbar spread and will come in handy when selecting accessories to use with your new roof rack system. Once we have the rear bar in position again, well use the same tightening procedure that we used up front. With both the front and the rear bar tightened down were ready to start mounting accessories.

And thats it for our test fit of the Thule Roof Rack System on our 2012 Honda Fit.
