Today on this 2009 Hyundai Sonata, we're going to do a test fit of part number TH594XT from Thule. This is a side arm wheel mount bike carier. Our vehicles are already equipped with the Thule roof rack using the square loadbars and our bike rack has already been assembled according to the instructions so what we got to do is just place on the roof rack. We'll go ahead and place the bike rack onto the roof rack and we'll go ahead and install the clamps on the rail going towards the front post. We'll do the in board side and then move to the outboard side of the clamp. Now we still want to leave everything loose so we can move around to it's final position.
Now we'll go ahead and move onto the second crossbar and install the clamp for that one as well and again we'll leave everything loose until we go ahead and put it in the right spot. Once in the right spot the way you want it, then you can go ahead and tighten down the hardware. All right that is what it takes to install the bike rack now we can go ahead and load up the bike. First thing we'll do, we'll go ahead and rotate the arm up and out of the way and extend it as well. And then we'll make sure the strap for the back wheel is loosened up as well.
We can go ahead and load up the bike, we'll put the front wheel into the wheel well, we'll bring the clamp up and over the top of the front wheel and then clamp it down as close to the front brake as possible and then we can go ahead and run our strap through the back wheel and that is what it takes to load up the bike and with that, that will finish it for our testfit of part number TH594XT from Thule, on our 2009 Hyudai Sonata.
Yakima FrontLoader Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata we'll be test fitting the Yakima FrontLoader Wheel Mount Bike Carrier, part number y02103. To begin our test fit we'll go ahead and place the bike rack onto the crossbars and we'll make sure that the front clamp here at the head of the bike rack goes around our front crossbar. We'll then move to the rear clamp where we'll make sure that the clamp runs underneath the rear crossbar adjusting it as necessary. We can then take the T-bolt, pass it through the clamp, twist it a quick 90 degrees and tighten down the wing nut securing the rear clamp to the rear crossbar. We'll move back to the head of the bike rack where we'll tighten down the wing nut here on the front clamping the front head to our front crossbar thereby securing our bike rack to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and fold the front wheel hoop up and undo the strap for our rear wheel. We'll then place the bike into the carrier making sure that the front wheel rolls forward into the front wheel hoop. We'll also want to make sure that the rear front wheel hoop rolls up onto the wheel.
RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack Review - 2007 Hyundai Sonata

Today on our 2007 Hyundai Sonata, we'll be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number RKY1014. Now, our vehicle is equipped with a roof rack system and our bike carrier is pre-assembled, so we're ready to fit it to the vehicle. We'll begin by placing the bike rack on top of our crossbars. We'll need to make sure that the head of the bike rack is directly over the front crossbar. We'll take the rubber coated steel straps and run underneath the front crossbar and hook them back to the head of the bike rack. We'll then move to the rear crossbar, but we'll make sure that the clamp goes underneath the rear crossbar and we loosely secure it with the wing nuts included with the bike rack.
