Review of the Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack on a 2009 Honda CR-V

Today we have with us a 2009 Honda CRV and were going to be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier part number TH934XTR. To mount the carrier to our vehicle were going to insert the shank into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down. Next well check for rear vehicle access. Well remove the pin at the base of the bike rack and tilt it down. Well open the hatch of our CRV and make sure we can still access our cargo area.

With that done well tilt our bike rack back up and check for some clearance measurements. Weve got about 8 inches of clearance between the closest part of our vehicle and the closest part of the bike rack. Weve got about 12 inches of ground clearance and when the bike rack arms are folded out weve added about 46 inches length to the vehicle. Now were ready to load up a bike. Well undo the rubber straps with the cradles closest to the vehicle and then well pick up our bike and fit it over the arms of the bike rack and well place it in those cradles and secure the frame of the bike using the rubber straps.

With that done our bike is all loaded up and were ready to hit the road. That does it for the test fit of the Thule Hitching Post Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier part number TH934XTR.
