Today, on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, we will test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro, folding and tilting 4 bike carrier for both 1-1/4 and 2 inch hitches. A quick note on this bike rack, when using with a class one 1-1/4 inch hitch you are limited to 2 bikes. Now, to begin our test fit, we have already installed our included adapter for the 2-inch hitch so we will go ahead and slide the shank of the bike rack into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt and with that, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. At this point, we can go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 9-1/2 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 5 inches. Now we will go ahead and pull the pin at the bottom of the bike rack mast to tilt the mast down.
WE can then open our cargo door. Now, we will go ahead and pull the pin at the top of the bike rack mast to bring out the dual arm where we will undo the straps exposing our cradles and then place the bike into the cradles and bring the straps around, securing it to the bike rack. And that's it, our bike rack is loaded and we are ready to go. And that completes our test fit of the Thule Hitching Post Pro, folding and tilting, 4 bike carrier for both 1-1/4 and 2 inch hitches, part number TH934XTR on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan.
Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan

To mount our carrier to the vehicle, we'll insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch and line up our hitch pin holes. We'll thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. Next, we'll go over a handful of clearance measurements. We've got about 10 inches of ground clearance and about 4 inches of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the vehicle. Overall, we've added about 21 inches of length to the rear of our vehicle.

Today on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be test fitting the Yakima StickUp 2 Bike Hitch Mounted Folding Bike Rack for both 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch hitches, part number Y02420. To begin our test fit, we'll make sure that our included adapter is attached to the bike rack shank. We'll now slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. That will secure our bike rack to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 10 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 2-1/2 inches.
