Right today its 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, were going to do a test fit for the part number TH990XT from Thule, Doubletrack Platform Bicycle Rack. This is bicycle rack will work with class one and class two receiver hitches and will also work with two inches receiver hitches with the provided spacer. We start off for tested by installing the bike rack into the hitch. They will install an anti-rattle bolt and put the lock on the other side. All right were going and fold the bike rack and gives some measurements on clearance. All right, as closest point on contact between the hitch switch and the bumper, were looking at two and a half inches.
Ground clearance is going to be ten and a quarter inches. Now go ahead and pull the bike rack and get one more measure at the very end. That measurement looks like 16 inches. Now go ahead and show access to the back hatch. Okay, that looks good.
Now lets go ahead and load up the bike. First thing well do well make sure the wheel straps are out of the way and that the clamps are center post that move all the way to the very top. Its also a good idea to take the post and raise it up just a little bit. All right, now and go ahead and put the bike in the place. Well put the wheels into the wheel wells.
Well tilt the bike forward a little bit so we can bring the center post up and well bring the clamp down to the top tube. Now well go ahead and run the wheel straps through the wheels. Now strap for wheels has a spacer for given size wheels based if we need it to take out space, great. If not, you can always slide it off. And thats what it takes to load up a bike.
And with that thatll finish it for our test fit on part number TH990XT, the Doubletrack Platform Rack from Thule on our 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe.
