Today on our 2011 Dodge Journey, well be test fitting the Thule AeroBlade Roof Rack System, part numbers TH450R and THARB53. With our roof rack bars already pre-assembled, were ready to go ahead and test fit them to the vehicle. Well begin by setting the front crossbar. Well place it on top of the vehicle. Well find a stationary point on the rails to measure from. This will help us to maintain the crossbar square with the vehicle.
Once we have our crossbar set where wed like to have it, well go ahead and well tighten it down using the provided hardware. Now that we have our front crossbar fitted to the vehicle, well go ahead and repeat this process on the rear. The one major difference will be setting our crossbar spread. Thule recommends a maximum crossbar spread of 42 inches, so we want to make sure we do not exceed that 42 inches. Now that our rear crossbar is secure, our roof rack is ready to be loaded.
And that completes our test fit of the Thule AeroBlade Crossroads Roof Rack on our 2011 Dodge Journey.
