Now, we've already gone ahead and installed our bike rack into the hitch and tightened down our anti-rattle knob to secure it to the vehicle. Now, we'll give you a few measurements. The ground clearance at the bike rack is 19 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 5-1/2 inches. Now, we'll go ahead and load our bike. We'll pull the hitch switch at the top of the bike rack mast to bring the arms out.
We'll then undo the straps, exposing the cradles where we can put our bike into the cradles, and then bring the straps around, securing it to the bike rack. This is what your vehicle will look like with your bike loaded. Now, a great feature of the Thule Apex Swing is its ability to be able to swing out with the bikes loaded to allow access to the back of the vehicle. We'll go ahead and demonstrate that now. We'll undo the wing nut on the front of the mast.

Now with our truck equipped with the 2-inch class 3 hitch, we've already installed our included adapter so we're ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. We'll begin by installing the bike rack shank into the hitch. We'll line up the hitch pin hole and insert and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt.
