Alright, today on this 2012 Toyota Sienna, we're going to do a test fit of part number TH9025 from Thule, the Apex 4 Bike Carrier. A couple of things to know about this bike carrier, that it will work with 1-1/4-inch receiver hitches, both class 1 and class 2. However, these who have a class 1 receiver hitch, you're only limited to carrying two bikes. This will also work with 2-inch receiver hitches as we're going to do today with the included spacer. We'll start off our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch. We'll make sure that the integrated hitch pin goes to the hitch pinhole and then we'll go ahead and tighten down the anti-rattle knob.
Alright, now we'll go ahead and get some clearance measurements. The closest point of clearance between the bike rack and the bumper will be about 1/2 inch between the anti-rattle knob and the bumper, and ground clearance looks like 9-3/4 inches. Now, we'll go ahead and check access to the back of the vehicle. We'll go ahead and use the hitch switch to fold back the bike carrier. Okay, that looks good.
Now, we'll go ahead and pull the hitch switch on top. Unfold the bike rack and we can go ahead and load up our bike. Okay, to load up our bike, we'll make sure that the straps are out of the way for the cradles we're going to use and that the anti-sway part of the cradles are tilted towards the center or easily removed. We're going to load our bike. We'll bounce it out on the cradles then we'll reinstall the anti-sway part of the cradle.
We'll run the straps around the seat tube and then strap it in place, and then we can go ahead and run the straps over the top tube. And that's all it takes to load up the bike. And with that, that will finish it for part number TH9025 from Thule, the Apex 4 Bike Carrier, on our 2012 Toyota Sienna.
