Review of the Thule Apex 4 Hitch Bike Rack on a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe

All right today its 2008 Honda Santa Fe. Were going to do a test to the part number TH9025 from Thule. This is the Apex 4 Bicycle Rack. One quick note about this bicycle rack, they will work with a inch and quarter receiver hitches, both class one and class two. However, when you use it on a class one hitch, youre only limited to two bicycles. This will also work with two-inch receive hitch with the provided spacer.

Well start off our test by installing bike rack into the hitch. Well pull out the integrated hitch pin, then well put the bike rack into the hitch and allow the pins snap into place. Then we go ahead and tighten down the entire rattle device. Now here the bike rack folded up. Well get some measurements on clearance.

Okay, closest point between the bike rack and the bumper is inch and . Ground clearance will be 11 inches. Okay, were going to tilt the bike rack and show access to the back hatch. Okay, now well go ahead and unfold the bike rack and then we can go ahead and load up a bike. Okay, when we load up a bike, we make sure that the straps are away for the cradles that were going to use and that the anti-sway part of the cradles is moved towards the center.

Or in this case, you can actually easily remove them and then put them back on and put the bikes in place. Well slitter bike onto the bike rack, bounce it out and then run the anti-sway part of the cradle down to the seat tube, and then well run our straps over top too. All right, and thats what takes to load up a bike. And with that thatll finish for our test to the part number TH9025, the Apex 4 Bike Carrier on a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe.
