Review of the Thule Apex 4 Hitch Bike Rack on a 2008 Dodge Nitro

Today on this 2008 Dodge Nitro, were going to do a test fit of part number TH9025 the Apex 4 Bike Carrier. Do you know about this bicycle rack that it will work on 1- receiver hitches both class I and class II. However, were using of class I receiver hitch we only limited to carrying two bicycles. In this case were going to be using on a class III receiver hitch now work with the included spacer. We'll start off our test fit by installing a bike rack into the hitch, we'll make sure that the integrate the hitch pin snaps on the place, pull back on a little bit, tears some tension then we'll tighten down the anti-rattle knob. Okay, now go ahead and get some clearance measurements. Clearance from the anti-rattle knob to the bumper is going to be 4.

Ground clearance looks like is going to be 15-. All right, let's go ahead and tilt the bike rack back and check access to the back of the vehicle.Okay, thats looks good. Now, we'll go ahead and unfold the bike rack but pulling upon the switch on the top then we'll go ahead and load up the bike. Before we load up the bike well go ahead and make sure the straps are out of the way from the cradles were going to use and also that the anti-sway part of the cradles is pushed towards the center or you can easily remove them. Okay, when we load up the bike, we'll go ahead and bounce down the cradles.

Now, we going to reattach the anti-sway part of the cradle and we'll strap back to the seat tube. Then, we'll go ahead and run the straps over the top tube and those are the steps that are needed to load up the bike. And with that, that will finish it for our test fit of part number TH9025, the Apex 4 from Thule on our 2008 Dodge Nitro.
