Today we're looking at 2010 Nissan Altima. We're doing a test fit of the Thule AeroBlade Roof Rack System. We already have our load bar set up, now let's go ahead and do a test fit on the vehicle. Our first step is going to be opening up both front doors. Now that we have our doors open we can go ahead and set our front load bar in place. With our load bar set up on the vehicle you can now go ahead and measure it out.
We need to be 10 inches from the front edge of where the sheet metal and the windshield meet. We'll repeat the same process here on the driver's side. Once we get it measured out we can go ahead and tighten it down. We'll be using the AccuTight tool that comes with our Thule Rapid Traverse fee. Now we've got our front part set up we can go ahead and install the rear bar.
We'll go ahead and open the rear doors now so you can set the bar in place. For our rear crossbar spread we want it to be 28 inches off the center of the front load bar, so center of the T-slot of the front load bar to center of the T-slot to the rear load bar. Once you have it measured out and set, you can begin tightening them down. We'll repeat the same process as we did when we tightened down the front load bar. Now we have both load bars installed, I'll go ahead and give you a measurement from the top of the roof to the top of the bar.
The added height from the roof to the top of the bar is about 4 inches. And that does it for our test fit of the AeroBlade Roof Rack system on our 2010 Nissan Altima.
