Today on our 2012 Buick Enclave we will be test fitting the Swagman XTC2 2 bike carrier part no S64670. Now our bike rack is already assembled and ready for a 2 inch hitch although by removing the including spacer blocks it may also be used in an inch and 1/4 hitch. We can start by inserting the bike rack shank into the hitch. We will line up the hitch pin hole and insert our anti retal bolt. We can then tighten it down with a wrench and that will secure our bike rack to the vehicle and we can go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest point of the bike rack to the bumper is 4 and 1/2 inches and our ground clearance is 20 and 1/2 inches.
We can now go ahead and unfold the biker rack platform down to gain cargo access and as you can see we can gain full cargo access with this bike rack. We're now almost ready to load our bike, we need only to make sure that the top bar clamp is fully extended and that the wheel loop straps are opened up. We will then set our bike into the wheel loops and then bring the vertical bar up and clamp it down to the top bar. We can then move down to the wheel loops where we will put the straps through the wheels and secure it to the bike rack. And there you have in those few easy steps, our bike is loaded and we're ready to hit the road.
