Review of the Swagman XTC2 Wheel Mount Hitch Bike Rack on a 2010 Mazda CX-9

Alright, today on this 2010 Mazda CX9 were going to do a test fit of part #: S64670 from Swagman, the XTC Tube bicycle rack. A few key points to know about this bike rack that it will work with inch and a quarter receiver hitches, both class 1 and class 2. This will also work with 2 inch receiver hitches with the included spacer. Now, on this vehicle well be working with a 2 inch receiver hitch. Well start off our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch, then well tighten down the anti rattle bolt and install the safety clip on the other side. Alright, lets go ahead and unfold the bike rack and get some clearance measurements.

From the bumper to the bike rack is 6 inches. Ground clearance will be 14 and a half inches. Now well go ahead and lower our center post and check for access to the back of the vehicle. Alright, that looks good, now well go ahead and load up a bike. First thing that well do is make sure that the wheel straps are out of the way in the wheel loops and that the clamps on the center post are up to the very top.

When we load up our bike well put the wheels into the wheel loops and then well go ahead and tilt the bike forward a little bit so we can run the center post up and over the seat, well clamp it back down to the top tube and then make sure the post is secure at the bottom. And then we can go ahead and run our straps through the wheels. And thats what it takes to load up a bike. With that, that will finish it for our test fit of part #: S64670 from Swagman on our 2010 Mazda CX9.
