Review of the Swagman XTC2 Wheel Mount Hitch Bike Rack on a 2010 Honda Fit

Alright, today on this 2010 Honda Fit, we're going to do a test fit of product number S64670 from Swagman. This is the XTC2 Bike Rack. A couple of quick notes about this bike rack is that it will work with class 1 and class hitches and it will also work with a class 3 hitch with the provided spacer. On this car, we're going to be using a class 1 hitch. Ok, we're going to start off by installing our bike rack into the hitch and we can go ahead and tighten down the anti-rattle bolt and put the clip on the other side. With the bike rack installed, we'll go ahead and give you some measurements on the clearance between the bicycle rack and the car and ground clearance as well.

As the closest point to the car, the distance is 8 inches. Ground clearance at the hitch on the bike rack is going to be 8 inches and at the very end of the bike rack, we're looking at 11 inches. Alright, next, we'll go ahead and unfold the bike rack and we'll go ahead and check for access to the back of the vehicle. Ok, that shows that we accessed the back hatch. Alright, now we'll go ahead and load up our bike.

First thing we do is we make sure that the straps are out of the way for the wheel loops that we're going to use and at the clamps on the center mast are run to the very top. When we load up our bike, we put the wheels in the wheel loops and then we'll tilt the bike out of the way a little bit so we can run it up and over at the back tire, and over the seat and onto the top tube. Then we can go ahead and clamp it down to place and then put the pin back at the bottom at the base. With the bike in place, we'll go ahead and run the straps over the wheels. Ok, with those few steps, our bike is loaded up and ready to go.

Alright, that will finish it for our test fit on product number S64670 from Swagman XTC 2 Bike Rack, on our 2010 Honda Fit.
