Today on our 2007 Toyota Prius, well be test fitting the Swagman XTC 2. This is a two bike platform style bike carrier for both 1 1/4 inch to 2 inch hitches, Part # S64670. Now to begin our test fit, well place the bike rack shank into the hitch right up the hitch pin hole and install our anti rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. Now well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the back of the bike rack is 13 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 7 1/2 inches.
Now well go ahead and unfold the bike rack platform to open our trunk. And as you can see we can gain full access to the cargo area with this bike rack. Were now almost ready to load our bike. Well need only to make sure that our vertical bar clamps are fully extended and then our wheel loops straps are undone and out of the way. We can then place the bike into the wheel loops, bring our vertical bar up remembering to reinstall the pin holding the bar in place where we can then bring the top bar clamp over the top bar clamp over the top bar of our bike securing it to the bike rack.
Well move back down to the wheel loops where well put the straps thru and secure them on the other side. And there you have it, our bike is loaded and were ready to go. And that completes our test fit of Part #S64670, the Swagman XTC 2, two bike carrier on our 2007 Toyota Prius.
