Today on our 2012 Ford Fusion, we'll be test fitting part number S63410, the Swagman tightened four-bike carrier. A quick note about this bike rack, it will fit both inch and a quarter and two inch hitches. However, when using with a class one hitch, you are limited to two bikes. To begin our test fit, we'll simply install the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our anti rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. Now we'll give you a few measurements.
At our bike rack, our ground clearance is 13 and three quarters inches, and from the closest point of the bike rack mast to the back of the vehicle is 10 inches. Now we'll go ahead and pull the hitch switch at the bottom of the bike rack mast to tilt the mast down. We can then open our trunk. And as you can see, we can gain full access to the trunk with this bike rack. Now we'll pull the switch at the top of the bike rack to bring out our dual arms.
We can then undo the straps exposing our cradles where we'll place into the cradles and bring the straps around, securing it to the bike rack. And there you have it. Our bike is loaded, and we're ready to hit the road. And that completes our test fit of the Swagman tightened four-bike carrier, part number S63410 on our 2012 Ford Fusion.
