Today we have a 2012 Dodge Charger and we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Fork-Down Roof Mounted Bike Carrier. We've already got our carrier assembled and now we're ready to mount it up on our vehicle. To mount the carrier, we'll place the head of the rack on top of our frontload bar. We'll fit the U bolts around our load bar and back through the head of the platform and we'll tighten it down with the wing nuts. Put the front half of our carrier secured, we can move to the back. We'll position the U bolt in the rear of the carrier over our rear load bar and use the clamp bar and the two wing nuts to tighten it down to our rear bar.
Once we've done that, we're ready to load up our bike. We'll undo the wheel strap with the rear of the carrier. We'll pick up our bike, place the rear wheel of the bike into the tray and place the front fork down into our skewer. We'll secure the bike up at the front with the skewer and then we'll move back to the rear and secure the rear wheel with the wheel strap. With that, our bike's all loaded up and we're ready to hit the road.
That does it for our test fit of the Swagman Fork-Down Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part # S64710.

We'll start with the front clamp and then move the rear clamp into place. We'll take a second and make sure the bike rack is sitting where we want to and then we can go ahead and tighten it down for good.

RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack Review - 2012 Dodge Charger

All right, today this 2012 Charger, we're going to do a test fit of part # RKY1014 the RockyMounts TieRod Bike Carrier. We're going to start with our test fit with the bike rack assembled according to instructions. So we're going to simply place it on a roof rack and begin our test fit. We'll begin our test fit by installing the carrier on the front crossbar and make sure the straps wrap around from underneath and into the clip in the front. With that loosely attached, we'll go ahead and run the clamp in the rear around the back crossbar and then tying it down but still keeping it loose so we can move it around. Now, I'll take a second and make sure the bike rack is centered with the vehicle before tightening it down for good.
