Today we are working on 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. We are going to install the Timbren suspension system, part number TGMRCK15S. Our first step is to raise the suspension above the vehicle. Now that we have already done that, we are ready to go ahead and remove the manufacturer's bump stop. To do this, you'll need to remove the fastener that's located at the center of the bump stop. With the fastener removed, we can go ahead pop the bump stop out of the cup holder.
Now we are ready to install the new Timbren bump stop. The Timbren bump stop has a washer that's already made inside of the bump stop. We'll take our bolt and feed it down through the washer and up to the top of the bump stop. Then on top of the bump stop, we'll insert the plate washer then we can thread it in right back in where the manufacturer's previous bump stop was. Alright, once we get our bolt started into the threads, we will go ahead and tighten it down. That completes the install of our new bump stop on the driver side. We will go ahead and repeat the process on the passenger's side.
With both sides installed, that completes the install of our timbrane suspension system, part number tgmrck15s on our 2011 Chevy Silverado.
Firestone Work-Rite Helper Springs Installation - 2005 Chevrolet Silverado
Today on our 2005 Chevy Silverado well be installing the Firestone Work Right Helper Spring kit, part number F8605. First, before we install our kit well need to remove the old or manufacturers bump stops. To do this well simply go ahead and raise the vehicle, take the weight off the rear axle and then remove the nut, securing the stud that goes up through the bump stop and holds it to the frame. Now with the old bump stop out of the way were ready to go ahead and start installing the new Work Right Helper Springs. The Helper Spring kit can be modified for the vehicle or ride necessary. For a stronger, stiffer ride we can take the helpers spring, along with the long bolt provided in our install kit, add a split-lock washer, flat washer, and go up through the spring.
Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2011 Chevrolet Silverado
Today on our 2011 Chevy Silverado, well be installing the Firestone Ride Right Air Helper Springs, part number F2430. First before we can install the new air springs, we need to remove the manufacturers down stop. To do this, there s a stud that goes up through the center that well need to remove. Now with the bolt removed, we can go ahead and pop the down stop out of its cup. Now were ready to go ahead and install the upper bracket. Well use the new 10-millimeter flathead Allen bolt, it will go through the upper bracket, through the spacer, and then secure into the same threaded hole that we just removed the down stop bolt from.
Timbren Rear Suspension System Installation - 2005 Chevrolet Silverado
Today on our 2005 Chevy Silverado, well be installing the Rear Timbren Suspension Enhancement System, part number TGMRCK15S. Before beginning installing our Timbrens, well first go ahead and raise the vehicle, allowing the rear axle to hang down further, giving us more access for removing the old bump stop and installing the new Timbren ion spring. To remove the manufacturers bump stop, well simply go ahead and remove the nut as it goes through a stud to the frame, securing it in position. Once we remove the nut, we can go ahead and remove the bump stop and were ready to install the new ion spring. To install the new spring, well use a new hardware provided with the install kit. It will be a bolt that will go to the flat washer already installed inside the spring and up to the top collar.
Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2004 Chevrolet Silverado
Alright, today in this 2004 Chevrolet Silverado we're going to install part number F2250 from Firestone. We're going to start off with the passenger's side and complete the installation and then repeat the same steps on the driver's side. We'll take one of the air springs and first install the upper bracket. Since we're doing the passenger's side we'll install the heat shield for the exhaust. That will get sandwiched between the spring and hot plate. This is not required for the driver's side.
Firestone Sport-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2005 Chevrolet Silverado
Today on this 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, well be installing part number F2320, the Firestone Fort Ride Air Helper Springs. We have all the parts in our car here. First well take our air fitting and screw it into place. Run it down until it stops and then will have to turn more. Now take the bracket and set it on top, and then install our two 3/8 bolts. Well go ahead and tighten those down.
