Alright today on this 1995 Ford F250, we are going to install part number TFR150SDE from Timbren. As shown here, this is what the suspension enhancement system looks like when it is installed on the vehicle. Next we will go ahead and show you how it is done. To install it, the first thing we need to do is remove the original bump stop right here. There is a bolt on top that you want to spray down with some penetrant to help loosen the bolt and remove it. It is kind of hard to see but on the bottom here is actually a bushing inside of here. You have to remove that as well. You will spray it down, knock it around and then you should be able to get it to fall off the bottom. 1:00
Alright now we can start the assembly of the Aeon rubber spring. Alright, these are the components we will be using to install it. Now there will be a couple of optional hardware here. What this optional hardware is for is if you need the spring to be moved front or to the rear of the axle, to fine tune it to match your suspension setup you can. In this case though, we will be using the single bolt in the center here. We will not be using that hardware. So we will be left with the longest bolt and the medium bolt, with a lock washer on both of them. And the one that goes from the top of the frame down will use a flat washer. And also there is a spacer block that is optional as well, to go in between the spring and the mounting bracket. Some vehicle will require it and some will not. In this case, we will be using it. 1:50
We will take our long bolt and this will go through the bottom of the spring. We will run this through the washer, our spacer and that will run in to our bracket, just enough to hold it all together for now. Now we will go install the assembly on the frame. From the top down we will install our bolt, flat washer and lock washer. And this bushing right here will fit in the original spot. And this will all fit together like this, around the frame. Alright, now I can tighten the inside bolt. In a few easy steps, our suspension enhancement system is already installed. Now we are done with the passenger side. Let us move over to the driver side and repeat the same process. So we can go ahead and put the tires back on, put a load on it and try it out. And that will finish it for part number TFR150SDE from Timbren.
