Then well insert the pin and clip to secure it to the vehicle. Alright, with our pin and clips securing the cargo carrier to the hitch, this is what our cargo carrier will look like when its in a stored position. Lets go ahead and pull the pin located at the base of the cargo carrier and fold the cargo carrier down into its loading position. Alright, with our platform down, heres what our cargo carrier will look like in the loading position.
Now, lets go ahead and check for rear cargo access. As you can see, with the extra long shank on this cargo carrier, it still allows us to get between the cargo carrier and the bumper to access the rear cargo door. Now, lets go ahead and take a couple of measurements. From the closest edge of the platform of the cargo carrier to the nearest point of the bumper is 15-1/2 inches. From the rear of the cargo carrier to the ground, we have 24-1/2 inches of ground clearance.
A couple of the great features about our cargo carrier is inside rails of our cargo carrier measuring 24 inches wide by 60 inches long. And our cargo carrier can be loaded up to 500 pounds in capacity.
