Review of the Surco Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier on a 2012 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty, we'll be test fitting the 24x60 Folding Cargo Carrier by Surco, part number 52018F. Now to begin our test fit, we'll slide our cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install our hitch pin. And with that, our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Now from the closest point of our cargo carrier in the stored position to the back of the vehicle is six inches, and our ground clearance at the cargo carrier is 16 inches. We can now go ahead and pull the pin on our cargo carrier to fold the platform down.

We then give you a few more measurements. Now with the platform down, our cargo carrier's closest point to the back of the vehicle is 19 inches, and this cargo carrier will add an additional 44 1/2 inches of overall length to your car. Now our exhaust exits the passenger's side rear on the vehicle and is approximately 23 inches away. And that completes out test fit of the 24x60 Folding Cargo Carrier by Surco, part number 52018F, on our 2012 Jeep Liberty.
