Review of the SportRack EZ Hitch Bike Rack on a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Today on this 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, were going to do a test fit of part number A30901 from SportRack. A few notes to know about this bicycle that it will work with 1-1/4-inch receiver hitches both class 1 and class 2. This will also work with a 2-inch receiver hitch with the included spacer, and thats what were working with today on our Jeep. Well go ahead and start up our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch. Well tighten down the anti-rattle bolt and then install the safety pin on the other side. Alright, now Ill go ahead and unfold the bike rack and well go ahead and get some clearance measurements.

From the bike rack to the bumper as the closest point will be 8-1/4 inches. Ground clearance is going to be 18-1/4 inches. Now, well go ahead and take the center post of the bike rack lower out of our way and well go ahead and check access to the back of the Jeep. Alright, that looks good. Now, well go ahead and load up the bike.

What well do first is make sure the straps are out of the way for the wheel loops and that the clamp on the center post is raised at the very top. Then we can go ahead and load up our bike. When we load up our bike, well bring the center post up and bring the clamp down at the top tube and make sure and its pinned down at the bottom. Make sure everything is tight and then we can go ahead and install the straps for the wheels. Okay, and thats the few steps that are needed to load up the bike.

And with that, that will finish it for our test fit of part number A30901 from SportRack on our 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
