Review of the SportRack EZ Hitch Bike Rack on a 2010 Chevrolet Aveo

Today on this 2010 Chevy Aveo were going to do a test fit of part number a30901 from SportRack, this is their 2 bike easy mounted hitch rack. One quick note, this bike rack will work with 1-1/4 hitches class one and class 2, and also will work with 2 receiver hitches with the included bushing. Well start off by installing the bike rack into the hitch. We will tighten down the anti rattle bolt and put the clip on the other end. We will use a wrench to tighten it down. Next well give you some measurements to give you an idea of clearance between the bicycle rack and the car, and the bicycle rack and the ground.

The closest point to the bumper is going to be 5 and it looks like the ground clearance will be 11. Alright now well go ahead and fold the bike rack and give you one more measurement at the very end. We pull out the two key pins, and fold it and the reinstall the pins in the matching holes, and the measurement at the end will be 16 Alright now I can go ahead and check for access to the back of the car. Okay looks like that clears the rack. Okay next well go ahead and load up a bike, what we will do first is take the center post and pull it out of the way, and then install our bike.

Once our bike is in place, take the post, put it back up, put the clamp over the top tube, and then well go ahead and put our pin back at the bottom, and then we can go ahead and do our wheel straps. In a few easy steps our bike is already loaded up and ready to go, and with that that will finish it for our test fit of part number a30901 from SportRack the 2 bike easy mounted rack on our 2010 Chevy Aveo. .
