Review of the SportRack Evader Hitch Bike Rack on a 2012 Toyota Sienna

Alright today on this 2012 Toyota Sienna, we're going to do a test fit of part no 830403XT from Sportrack. This is the Evader 3 bike carrier. A few things to note about this bicycle rack that it will work with an inch and 14 receiver hitches class 2 only. This will also work with a 2 inch receiver hitch with the included spacer and that is what we will be working with today. We will start off our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch and then we will go ahead and tighten down the anti retal bolt and then install a safety clip on the otehr side. Alright with our bike rack installed let's go ahead and get some clearance measurements.

At its closes point from the bike rack to the bumper we're looking at 3 inches. Ground clearance looks at 9 inches. Alright now we will go ahead and tilt the bike rack back and check the access to the back of the van. Alright that looks good, let's go ahead and load up and load up the bike. First thing we will do we make sure thet straps are out of the way for the cradles we are going to use and that the anti-sway part of the cradles are titled towards the center.

Alright when we load up a bike we will go ahead and bounce it down on the cradles, we will go ahead and swing the anti-sway part of the cradle down to the C-tube and then we will go and run the strap round it. Then we can go ahead and run the straps over the top tube. Alright and those are the steps that are needed to load up a bike. And with that that finish it for a test fit of part no. 830403XT from Sportrack on a 2012 Toyota Sienna..
