Today on our 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe we'll be test fitting part number A30403, the SportRack Escape 3 Bike Rack. To begin our test fit we'll simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 10-3/4 inches, and from the closest point of the bike rack mast to the back of the vehicle is 10 inches. Now we'll go ahead and pull the pin at the bottom of the mast to tilt the bike rack mast down.
We can then open our cargo door. And as you can see we can gain full access to the cargo area with this bike rack. We'll now pull the pin at the top of the mast to bring our dual arms out. We can then open up the straps exposing our cradles where we'll place the bike into the cradles and bring the straps around securing it to the bike rack. And there you have it.
Our bike is loaded and we're ready to hit the road. And that completes our test fit of part number A30403, the SportRack Escape 3 Bike Rack on our 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe.
Yakima HighLite 2 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe
Today on our 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe we'll be test fitting the Yakima Highlite aluminum two bike carrier, part number Y02438. Now to begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, insert the attached pin into the pin hole and turn the black knob to engage our anti-rattle bolt.
