Today on our 2012 Ford Fusion, we'll be test fitting part number A30403, the Sport Rack Escape three bike rack. Now to begin our test fit, we'll simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our anti rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. At this point, we'll give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 10 and a half inches, and from the closest point of the bike rack mast to the back of the vehicle is seven and a half inches. We'll now pull the pin at the bottom of the mast to tilt the mast down and open our trunk.
And as you can see, we can gain full access to the trunk with this bike rack. Next, we'll go ahead and pull the pin at the top of the bike rack mast to bring out our dual arms. We'll then undo the straps exposing the cradles where we can place the bike into the cradles and bring the straps around, securing it to the bike rack. And that'll do it. Our bike is loaded and we're ready to head on down the road.
And that completes our test fit of part number A30403, the Sport Rack Escape three bike rack on our 2012 Ford Fusion.
