Today, on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, we will be test fitting the Soft Ride Dura parallelogram tilting 4 bike carrier for both 1-1/4 and 2 inch hitches, part number SR26247. Now, to begin our test fit, we will simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install the include anti-rattle bolt. With the bolt tight, we will install our lock, which will secure the parallelogram to our vehicle. We will now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 10 inches and from the closest point on the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 1/4 inch. We can now pull the pin on the side of the bike rack to allow the Dura parallelogram to tilt down.
We can then open our cargo door. We will now go ahead and load our bike. We will place the bike into the cradles and bring the straps around securing it to the bike rack. Another great feature of the Dura parallelogram, is when your bikes are loaded you can still tilt the bike rack down to allow for cargo access. And that's it.
Our bike is loaded and we are ready to head on down the road. That completes our test fit of the Soft Ride Dura parallelogram tilting 4 bike carrier for both 1-1/4 and 2 inch hitches, part number SR26247 on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan.
