Review of the RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack on a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Today we have with us a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe and were going to be test fitting the Rockymounts Tierod Roof Mounted Bike carrier part number RKY1014. Our vehicle already has a full factory roof rack so were ready to go ahead and mount our bike rack to the bars. To fit our bike rack, well place it on top of our bars and put the head of the rack on our front bar making sure its wrapped the rubber-coated steel strap on the bar. Well fit them back into the head and tighten them down with the Allen key. Once weve done that, we can reinstall the cover of the head of the bike rack. At the back of the bike rack, well take our rear clamp, fit it around the bar and use the included wing nut to tighten it down.

Once weve done that, the bike racks attached and were ready to load up a bike. Well make sure that the front skewer is open and unlocked and well also make sure that the wheel strap is undone on the rear. Next, well place the bike into the carrier. Well pick it up, put the rear wheel into the tray and drop the front fork into our skewer. Well secure the bike first by the skewer then use the strap at the rear to secure the rear wheel.

With that, our bikes all loaded up and were ready to hit the road. That does it for our test fit of the Rockymounts Tierod Roof Mounted Bike carrier part number RKY1014 on our 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe.
