Today on our 2012 Ford Focus we're going to be test fitting the Rocky Mounts pitchfork roof-mounted bike carrier, part number RKY0438. To fit our bike carrier up on top of our roof rack, first we're going to lay it on top of our crossbars. We'll fit the clamp on the front mount around our front crossbar and use the included allen wrench to tighten down the two bolts. Once we've done that, we can reinstall our scour and replace the cover. We'll move to the back and fit the clamp around our rear crossbar and use the wing nut to tighten down our rear clamp. Next we're ready to load up our bike.
We need to make sure that the scour is unlocked and open and then that our rear wheel strap is also open. We'll pick up our bike, place the rear wheel into the wheel tray and drop the front fork down into our scour. We'll adjust the scour and secure our bike up at the front first. Then we'll move to the back and use the wheel strap to secure the rear wheel. With that done our bike is all loaded up and we're ready to hit the road.
That does it for our test fit of the Rocky Mounts pitchfork roof-mounted bike carrier, part number RKY0438, on our 2012 Ford Focus.
