Today, we have with us a 2007 Honda Pilot and were going to be test fitting the Rhino-Rack SXB4 Roof Rack System, part number SXB4-SILV. Were already have our roof rack assemble according to the instructions and now were ready to fit it up on top of our vehicle. Were going to set the front crossbar up on top of our raised side rails. Well make sure the bar is overhanging evenly from left to right and we also need to make sure that it is running perpendicular to our side rails. To do this, well find a fixed point on our side rails and measure to the leading edge of the clamp on the underside of our crossbar. Well make sure this measurement is the same on both the driver and passenger side.
Once weve done that, we can go ahead and tighten down the front crossbar. With the front crossbar tighten down, were ready to move on to the rear. Well set the rear bar up on top of our vehicle. Again, we need to make sure that were overhanging evenly from left to right. This time, we need to make sure that the rear bar runs parallel to the front bar.
To do this, were going to measure from the center of the front bar to the center of the rear bar and make sure this measurement is the same on both sides. You might want to check the owners manual of any accessories you might be using to see if you need to set up your crossbar spread for a specific length. Once we have the rear bar in position, we can go ahead and tighten it down. As both bars are tight, we can go ahead and reinstall our locking end caps. With that, our roof rack is installed and were ready to load up.
That does it for a test fit of the Rhino-Rack SXB4 Roof Rack System on our 2007 Honda Pilot.
