Alright, today on this 2011 Chevy Malibu we're going to do a test fit of a Rhino Rack Roof System. Now we already have a roof rack already assembled according to the instructions. So let's go ahead and open up the doors and put them into place. We're going to start off by opening up the front doors and doing the first crossbar. We'll put on the roofline first. And then when we get our measurements to put in the right spot.
Now, always check with your instructions. In this application our measurement is going to be 8,21/30" and we'll measure from the center of the door jamb to the center of the crossbar. Alright, now we can open up the back doors and do our second cross rail, alright And our second measurement will be 27,9/16" and that will be center to center of the crossbars. Once we have located the right spot we make sure it's even from left to right and then we go ahead and tighten them down with the included tool. Alright, now we go ahead and close the doors and install the covers to the towers.
With that our roof rack's installed. Now I'll give you one more measurement to give you an idea of height that's added to the vehicle. We'll measure from the leading edge of the tower to the top of the bar, looks like it adds 5-1/2" of height. Well that's it for our test fit of a Rhino Roof Rack on our 2011 Chevy Malibu.
