Installation of the Pilot Automotive Navigator Off Road Light on a 2003 Ford F-250

All right. Today on this 2003 Ford F-250, we're going to install part number NV-802C. Now, well actually be installing four of these on this vehicle. Well also be using the wiring kit, part number A-720. We're going to start off by installing the switch base onto a removable panel, that's below the steering column. Now, to transfer the pattern from our switch onto the backside of the panel.

So all we're going to do is just drill a couple holes for the hardware. Our next step is to go ahead and run our red and green wires from the inside to the outside. Well go through this grummet right here, located off to the left hand side at the bottom. Well pull out the grummet. Well cut a slit into it, then run our red and green wires through.

Well run to length and make sure we have enough to go up to our switch. Then well go ahead and put the wires into the slit and reinstall the grummet. At this point we can go ahead and take the brown wire and ground that to the body on the inside. Then we can hookup all three wires to the switch and reinstall the panel. Now, we're going into engine compartment and pull up our wires.

Well pull up our green and our red wires. Then well find a location for our rely. There's a nice spot right along the engine compartment towards the wheel and driver side. Well actually attach it there. Our green wires going to be too short so well cut it, add a section to it.

All right. Now, to hookup our wire to the relay as follows: green wire will get connected to a terminal labeled 86. Our white wire will be connected to terminal labeled 30. Black wire will get connected to the terminal marked 87. Our brown wire will get hooked up to terminal labeled number 85. Well go ahead and attach our relay. Then well go ahead and ground our ground wire. Now, our red wire will hooked up to the running light circuit on the truck. Well take our white wire and extend those out the lights that are being added to the front of truck. Our black wire will be last one to hookup and thatll hookup to our overall power supply. Okay. To hookup our red wire, we're going to pullout of the wire harness going to the headlight on the drivers side. Well disconnect the bulb and well probe the wire to see which one is our normal headlight circuit. Well use a quit splice connector to attach to it. Then well go ahead and reassemble the headlight. All right. Now, well go ahead and take our white wire and well extend it out to our lights. Well hookup our white wire to red and our black wire will be going to ground. All right. Now, this is a good time to install one of our lights, part number NV-802C. It's very easy to attach to our light bar. We just run our bolt in our grummet through the light bar and the other side well add another grummet and a nut to tighten it down. Then we have our two wires to connect up to. Now, well connect our black wire up to the black wires on the lights and then well go ahead and run those to ground. Run it up behind the grill into the body and use that for our ground. All right. Now, our last thing to do to hookup our power supply to the battery. We can go ahead and try it out. You see how the switch illuminates when we turn it on and then the lights come on. With that, thatll finish it for our install of part number NV-802C from Pilot and relay wiring kit, part number A-720, on our 2003 Ford F-250.

Edge Backup Camera for Color Touch Screen Monitors Installation - 2003 Ford F-250

Today on our 2003 Ford F250 well be installing the Edge Accessories backup camera for Edge color touch screens, part number EP98201. To begin our installation well remove the license plate frame containing the camera from the packaging, and after removing our license plate from our truck, here, well line up the bracket on the bumper where the license plate would bolt up. Youll notice that the camera has a wire that comes out of the frame here on the top. Our truck doesnt have a place where we can pass the wire through, so were going to go ahead and drill a hole. Youll notice that the wire has a rubber grommet on it already, so well use that grommet as a guide for the hole it will drill. We may need to open the hole up a little bit in order to get the grommet in.
