Today, on our 2011 Kia Soul, we will be test fitting part number A103-white-114. This is the Kuat Alpha folding and locking 3 bike aluminum bike rack for 1-1/4 inch hitches. Now, to begin our test fit, we will simply slide our bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install our hitch pin. We can then turn the knob at the back of the shank to tighten down the anti rattle device, which will secure our bike rack to the vehicle. We will now go ahead and pull the pin at the bottom of the bike rack mast to tilt the mast down. We can then open our cargo door and as you can see, we can gain full access to the cargo area, opening the door completely with this bike rack.
We will now pull the pin at the top of the mast to bring out the dual arms where we can then undo the straps, exposing the cradles. We will place the bike into the cradles and bring the straps around securing our bike to the bike rack. And that's it. Our bike is loaded and we are ready to head on down the road.
